Islington, 168 Bellair Street, Kensington Suburban Icon Poster
Islington has stood on Bellair Street, Kensington, since 1891. It was built for estate agent and councillor James Wales, later Mayor of Kensington, and designed by local architect Edward Owen Hughes.
Over the years it has been a family home, a real estate office, the Kensington Property Exchange and briefly a bank, and its old iron vault is still inside. Local legend has added a few colourful chapters of its own.
A print celebrating a house that has truly seen it all, perfect for Kensington locals.
This Islington Kensington poster is an original Suburban Icons artwork by Historic Prints, available as an A4, A3, A2 or A1 art print. A thoughtful gift and a standout piece of Melbourne wall art for any home or office.
