Melbourne's Degraves Street Suburban Icon Poster
Degraves Street is the laneway you take visiting friends to for their first real Melbourne coffee. Back in 1851, though, it was home to William Degraves' steam-powered flour mill.
Today the sacks of grain have been swapped for espresso, latte art and people watching under cafe umbrellas, all beneath the grand Majorca Building. It is a fitting tribute to a city whose love of coffee began with the coffee palaces of the 1880s and took off when Italian migrants brought espresso machines after the war.
A print for anyone whose morning starts with a flat white.
Designed by Historic Prints as part of the Suburban Icons collection, this Degraves Street art print comes in A4, A3, A2 and A1, perfect for gifting or adding a little Melbourne character to your walls.
