Cape Otway Lighthouse Suburban Icon Poster
Built in 1848 high above Bass Strait, Cape Otway Lighthouse is the oldest surviving lighthouse on mainland Australia.
Known as the Beacon of Hope, it was built to protect ships on the treacherous Shipwreck Coast. Keepers lit the lamp at sunset and watched over it through the night, and for thousands of migrants it was their very first sight of Australia after months at sea.
A meaningful print celebrating one of the Great Ocean Road's most loved landmarks.
This Cape Otway Lighthouse poster is an original Suburban Icons artwork by Historic Prints, available as an A4, A3, A2 or A1 art print. A thoughtful gift and a standout piece of Victorian wall art for any home or office.
